Anyone got any thoughts on the use of wheel spacers? I've seen some 17x7 wheels that would look great but the offset is ET37. Will need spacers to get this to the original ET25.

Probably use Eibach 15mm spacers each side if i was to go down this route. Not ideal, but the wheels would look great.

Any thoughts?

I had some 7mm spacers on mine with no problems at all. If they are good enough for rally teams, then they are OK in my book. At 15mm, I would make sure you go for something decent like H&R Hubcentrics, not cheap but very good.
Isn't 7J a bit thin though??

Don't forget you'll need longer studs fitted to the hubs if you use spacers.

Engineering rule of thumb, useable thread depth should be 1.5 times the thread daimeter min.

Up to 7mm or 8mm is okay but anything greater starts to get a get hairy.
