For a rough guide, look at what dealers are asking for the same car and subtract about £5000, which would be their gross margin on the car.
How the figures actually look will be smoke and mirrors though. Some dealers will quote you retail and add the discount to the trade price of your car, giving you a warmer feel about what your car is worth.
Other dealers will discount the car you are buying but give you a trade price for your car.
