Hi all,

Just looking for a bit of advice. A friend and I are thinking of driving down from Newcastle upon Tyne to the RoC at Wembley, but we've no idea where's the best/easiest/safest place to park. We're thinking we should park a few miles away and hop on the tube, but does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks in advance,

Mal.

coming off J4 on the M1 and parking at the car park at Stanmore tube station is a good place

Not sure how busy it will be on that evening?

agreed. been to wembley about 10 times this year. tried a number of things, stanmore far the easiest. just inside m25 so traffic pretty clear to stanmore, and also only 10mins on tube (4 stops to wembley). imo cant beat it

just to add if the carpark at stanmore is full there is a housing estate just before it where parking is free (aslong as you go thru the permit area). this is where i always park having spent 1hr trying to get into the car park!

Or you could just drive there and use the Wembley car park, though it's advisable to pre-book. I did it for an event at the Arena and it worked fine; didn't take long to get out onto the M40 either. If you're going by tube, you can pre-book a parking space at Hillingdon tube station (about £5), which is only a few minutes off the M25.

I use this place when attending the football.. very convenient and a good place to meet for beer and pie before the event.

They do charge to park there when the football's on but not sure about events such as this.

Never had a problem finding a space or either getting to or away from there but I do normally arrive c.3 hours before kick off. Not sure if you can reserve a place there. Might be worth a call

I live in wembley & I can tell you there's loads of free on-street parking in wembley, just check out online which streets are stadium event day restricted before hand, and watch for the signs.
here's a link to the local restricted zone:
http://www.brent.gov.uk/tmaps.nsf/Map?ReadForm&amp...

Park just outside it and you'll be fine, and most of it is only a 15-20 walk from the stadium.
