Not as much as a TVR Power supercharger conversion. If you're going to do it, do it properly. (At least that is what I'd do if I had my Chimaera still).

You shouldn't fall into the trap of thinking in terms of peak power. Those modifications if carried out well would make the engine more responsive and free-revving. It should be a better car to drive in all conditions not just at peak power - let's face it who drives at peak power (5500 rpm or more) for more that a few seconds.

Sorry to be boring but make sure you tell your insurance company about the mods if you haven't already.

But sure he doesn't know about them - how would he? He bought the car and the seller didn't mention them and they are all out of sight and he's a mechanical numpty.

Unfortunately not knowing about the mods is no excuse at all, an insurance company can walk away from any claim where the facts are not as declared to them whether the person making the declaration knew they were incorrect or not. Some companies also use engineers to check cars are as stated and that includes "hidden" engine mods. Never, ever tell them fibs!
