Hi All,

Just got back from Sunny Liverpool and my trip to Blue Flame Exhausts
in Skelmersdale. They have custom built a twin exit back box and
pipe from the turbo. It sounds great, nice deep base and looks quite
smart in mirror stainless. I'm doing a piece for LEW so keep an eye
on kato's site.

Big thanks to DW who also picked up my new Greens cotton air filter
from PNM Engineering. It is similar to the K & N ones that don't have
the steel frame so I'll let you all know how it fits and what
difference it makes.

The exhaust has made the car alot more drivable. It seems much
quicker and seems to accelerate a bit quicker.

Cheers

Hi Alan
I saw the blue GT3 on Kato's web page for Pistonfest, and was going to give blue flame a ring about it. The only other stainless exhaust I considered came from Quicksilver which was reasonable at c.£300, but this had twin side exits which necessitated buying a V8 diffuser at a further £100, thus negating the price advantage.
Is your new exhaust twin on one side, either side, or central??

Hi Mark,

It has an outlet on either side. I have modded my rear valance to accomadate the extra hole. I needed to get the rear bumper sprayed from the PO parking damage so it wasn't much to get the valance done too. The mod was straight forward and the fibre glass was easy to use. The cost was £350 inclusive but they have used a proper silencer box similar to the original. I think it gives it a better look. They can make virtually any type of exhaust you want though.

Call Nigel Leeming on 01695 733100

They need the car for a day to make it. You could mention mine when you call and he will know what you want.

Cheers

Alan
