I'm fairly sure dealers would pay more than that for a car that was not in need of a rebuild or work? Not sure what the guy would expect?

Or am I out of touch with prices?

The guys definitely chancing his arm. Sags seem to be selling like hot cakes right now so I can't see why someone would be tempted by the offer.

Agreed, that sort of money will not find a nice Sagaris. In fact, I doubt that you could find a poor Sagaris for that! With £25k he'd better set his sights on a nice T350.

At the start of the year Sagaris prices seemed to be heading that way, some sold for high 20Ks - but of late dealers have done a great job of pulling prices back up into high 30Ks.

Just shows the power of a dealer network - something the German marques have known for ages.

PS A spate of desperate private sales that overwhelms the dealers could reverse the good work.

Exactly, so why spend another £10-15k on a Sag !. getmecoatgetmecoatgetmecoat

A question I deliberated on long and hard before buying my Sagaris. The T350 is a great car but the Sagaris even better. £10-£15k better??? Well, thats a decision for the individual. Personally I am very happy with my choice and count myself lucky to have such a rare and enjoyable car. smile

The Sagaris is not £10 - 15K better IMHO, but it will cost close to that to get a standard T350 to perform like a Sagaris.

Another question and not a cheap shot. Was a loaded T350RR worth more new than a good spec new Sagaris?

My T350RR was a whisker off 50K when it was new in 04 according to the invoice. I can only compare it to a standard T350, on the plus side it feels quicker but on the downside the ride is certainly harsh on normal roads in mine in comparison to a standard one and the front is a bit nervous IMO..to be honest i preferred the standard suspenioned T350 on the road it felt more 'giving'. Maybe on the track mine would feel better than a standard one but i have never taken the plunge yet.I cant compare to a Sagaris but from reading other peoples comments on here i get the impression i would need to invest more to get near the handling of a sag and the extra performance required would obviously cost a lot more too. I use mine very regularly on the road and havent tracked it (yet) so for me personally the extra cost required for the sag cant be justified as i never get anywhere near the limits of my T350 on the road for obvious reasons, i prefer the looks of the T350 as well although i have to admit the Sag is starting to grow on me !!

Agreed, and I would be very surprised if Dealers were offering more than 25k for a Sagaris.

It could go 2 ways, TVR may never build this new Sagaris with its new engine, etc, etc. If that was the case the Sagaris will always hold its money, probably go up in value.

If TVR did get round to building this new Sagaris with its new engine, etc then prices would seriously drop.

A very fair question. I didn't buy my T350 RR from new, but the original invoice shows it came out at a shade under £55k back in early 2003. At that time the Sag was just a twinkle in someones eye so there wasn't a choice to be made other than say against a Tuscan S. Given that choice I would still have had the T350 RR. However, faced with the same choice when the Sag came into existence I would have probably gone for the Sag rather than the T350 RR based on its better handling. On looks alone I would still have the T350 over the Sag, but as they say "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder".

It is indeed in the eye of the beer holder - for the record, I would choose a T350 on looks over a Sagaris. Only recently realised how expensive the RR cars were.

Each to their own. Having owned both they each have plus points,
but over 50K for a T car was a lot of money back then. IMHO
