Theres a prize for whoever managed to get the most points today,

I dont normally drive around London but there seemed to be sooo many average speed cameras and lots of other types especially for the early part of the morning.

My GF kept telling me off for going through red lights too... (what red lights?)

Prize for most points collected is a nice digital camera, you can collect it from the underground roundabout near the beggingin of the run today! biggrin

I will be holding my breath for a couple of weeks now to see if any nasty letters fall onto the doormat!

I nearly ran over a jogger in Regent Street. Silly cow had her headphones on and just ran across the road. How loud must her music have been?

the highway code said:
AMBER means ‘Stop’ at the stop line. You may go on only if the AMBER appears after you have crossed the stop line or are so close to it that to pull up might cause an accident
so Im going to go with, yes that does make it ok, I was far too close to stop safely when the lights were on amber.

why's everyone spoiling for an argument anyway, my op was all very tounge in cheek.

Plus its hard to pay attention to all the lights in central london and avoid the deaf + blind joggers at the same time... biggrin

The ones in the Limehouse Link tunnel certainly flash when they go off. They have often run out of film though.

If you are talking about the north bound ones, I think they're now live but on test. There are couple of signs saying "enforcement not taking place".
They now have variable limits south bound which always seem to be set at 30mph but I don't know if they enforce these yet, well I certainly hope not.

I was flashed by a Limehouse tunnel camera a few months back (in a rare moment when I briefly lost concentration and slipped over the speed limit for a few seconds) - it definitley flashed (twice) but nothing came of it. However, they have been doing a lot of work in the tunnels so maybe they've been upgrading to digital.

The wi-fi ones are interesting though - can wi-fi be 'jammed' in any way? Just hypothetically obviously.

Nah, I think its much better to see the amber, slam on the brakes to do an emergency stop and the person behind drives straight into the back of you...

Thats what so many people seem to do nowadays in fear of going through a red light!!!
