When it is hot or sunslight outside, my lcd goes black.
It always comes back ok when cool.
Does anyone else know of this or a fix?

Have a play around with your contrast settings, take it up a level or two and you should find it stays readable

The long term fix would be to put some sort of cooling fan on the back of the LCD I guess, something like the Pentium computer chips used to have!

must be getting quite warm. All LCDs do this if they get hot .. shouldn't do the any harm.
