My 2000 4.5 Red Rose was given a Whirlwind induction kit, linked de-cat pipes, a Silverstone Performance rear box and a remap earlier in the year.
A substantial improvement, with no flat spots or hesitation. It made around 415bhp and 380 ft/lb.
Since then and a subsequent service, it feels even faster.

I fancy having a bit more fettling done, but don't at this stage particularly want to open the engine up for major work (eg 5.0 conversion, gas flowing, valve work, etc).

So do I have any less drastic upgrading options - manifolds, injectors, ECU, etc?
Anyone recommend anything?

What most serial upgraders do now is SELL.

Not sure what you are like as a driver, but I'd start there and then head on to wheels/tyres/suspension/diff/gearbox - quite probably in that order too... smile

there's not a alot else you can do really now, well nothing that will gain you enough hp to be noticeable or good value for money. If you're just after chasing numbers then there's a few things that can be done, but they're so bad value that you'd really only be doing them for the sake of it IMO.

Know what you're saying about driver training; done plenty of trackdays with tuition and I'm probably as fast/competent a driver as I'm likely to be (depressing though that is to admit to oneself).

I'm happy with my 18" spiders, Goodyear Eagle F1's and uprated Gaz shocks - not sure where to go there other than substantial price upgrade to Olins/Nitrons.

What has made a huge difference though and something I can thoroughly recommend is Racing Green's (no doubt others do it) full suspension setup with their laser equipment. Absolutely transformed the car around Snetterton and Bedford.

Not sure what the gearbox/diff options are though.
