I know this is a little off the wall but my girlfriend (Katie) is the owner of a Citreon C2 VTS. For about the last few weeks it has been making a grinding noise when under braking at slow speed. It almost sounds like the disks are scored or the pads are worn but after inspection neither of these are the case. In fact Citreon have now had the car back several times and replaced said pads and disks and its still doing it. Some lame mechanic said it was something to do with a covering they put on but even I know that that is rubbish. I own a BMW M Sport 3 Series which I just have to get in and turn the key and it goes and as such have naff all knowledge on this kind of thing. Is there anyone out there who has any advice as to what the problem could be or what I can ask them to check next time. Katie now has a job driving a lot further than she did before so any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks
Matt

The covering the lame mechanic is talking about could be copper grease on the back of the pads. Can cause the squeaking/grinding if theres not enough.
After a few trips to the dealers id be surprised if it was that , although citroen are generally idiots.
