Hi,

The mirror motors are cross referenced to a Corvette window motor available from any Chevy/GM outlet.

The Current GM Part numbers are:
Right side: 05045665
Left side: 05045664

They list them as just the left or right window motor for a 58-78 Vette.

Prices at a Chev dealer were: 162.00USD and 175.00USD respectively, but may have increased recntly. Happy Motoring! Jim'85TE

Hi Jim,

I presume the bit about these being mirror motors is a mistype? You are indeed talking about the window motors, right?

Cheers,
Sanj (easily confused!)

Stephan,

To my knowledge, these are the current GM part numbers. If not in the US, the number may be different, but GM should be able to cross reference the number to this number. Happy Motoring! Jim'85TE

I dunno, guys. It doesn't look like

www.a1electric.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=AEOS&Product_Code=5045664

on my '89. Unless your 91 is different.

www.windowmotor.com/28.html lists the 91 the same as an 89.

My research into the issue shows the window motors to be the same as Jaguars, but with left and right switched. That is, a left front Jag window motor (and regulator) is the same as a right front Esprit motor. The specific year/models for Jag are:

88-91 Vanden Plus
81-87 XJ6
87-90 XJS

I have seen a pic of the XJS motor on eBay and it is the same motor. Some motors are almost the same, but the gear is different. The corect gear has 8 teeth, from memory. The Jag's listed above are the only ones that are direct drop in replacements (from my research). It is possible that the motor from some other Delco products will work, and I used a motor from a Chevy truck on my gear box with some Dremmel work to the brush holder plastic piece (which was fried on mine).
