For the first time in 2 years of ownership....!. Car is turning over fine so i dont think its the battery and when i press the go pedal it starts to chugg but no firing. Ill be ringing the AA later but im concerned about their limited knowledge of the Cerb. Any ideas anyone? The car stays outside and is driven everyday. Ive done a search and ill be trying the "hold button for twenty seconds whilst flashing the main beam and tickling your toes" method before ringing the AA.

If it's turning over, forget the 20 second thing.

It's the time of year when the batteries are starting to get "found out"

Sounds like it's not cranking it over quick enough.

Have you tried a donor vehicle and a decent set of jump leads yet ?

Not tried that yet - ill let the AA sort it out later. I hope it is something as simple as a battery.

Dead cell in the battery. Get a jump start and it will be fine. Get down to halfwits and buy a new battery pronto.

OK. AA chappie just been. He says it was two things - a blown fuse and a crap battery. He connected a booster to the battery (which didnt charge it initially because it wasnt earthed proprely). He changed the fuse but at the same time realised the battery wasnt earthed correctly. One new fuse and the battery charged and it starts first time. So, we dont know if it was the fuse or the battery. The fuse he changed wasn't in the handbook. It was one of the 4 secluded fuses - does anyone know what these are for?? He seemed to think they may be something to do with the immobiliser..... Ill be purchasing a new battery in the morn.
