I have just ordered a new spring for my oil pressure relief valve from Rimmer Bros. They have a minimum order value of £5.00 plus vat - the spring only cost £3.00 so I ordered 2! If any one wants one I will post it to them for £3.50 incl postage and vat. They tell me that they are applicable for any wedge so give me a shout if interested at aqov22@dsl.pipex.com.

The spring is meant to improve your oil pressure by 10 psi. Got to be worth a go eh?

Got one. Can't honestly say I noticed a huge improvement, but then I did that much other work I kind of forgot to notice...

I am about to fit mine but I was flicking through the receipts last night from work done before I got the car - and guess whats in there? A f@cking uprated oil perssure relief valve spring AND valve from RPI. Gutted doesn't even come close.

Vincent,
Sorry to hear about that, still saves a bit of a job I suppose.
Could you do me a favour and measure how long your uprated spring is?
This may sound odd but I bought one from rimmers as well as a new valve kit with a standard spring.
Well I've forgotten which was which. One is shorter and made of thicker wire and the other is longer but thinner wire. Can't really tell from compressing them but I am fairly sure its the shorter one.
Many thanks,
Gareth.
