Went out for a play in the new car last night. 2 comments; dam it's fast (biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin) and my goodness photgraphing a white car is verrrrrrry different to photographing a black one hehe

So, inspired by the shots in Steve (Trackdemon's) VMax bundle overlooking the LP640 and CGT on the concrete, I've taken these;

1

2

3

4

5

Must say I'm particularly chuffed with 4 and 5, not so much the others (especially number 1), but thought I'd offer it up here for comments biggrin Actually I think the car in number 1 isn't as sharp as it could be; or is that just me?

Anyway, first go of many more to come with the new car I'm sure biggrin

For once in my life Ive got to say that the black & white shot doesnt work for me...its too dark for me, but the rest are brilliant yes

Must admit, looking at it again it is quite dark - I'd agree with you there. I'll have a play...

Hmmm...looking at it in *.psd, on monitor all big I think it looks good as B&W but dark as it's quite crisp, however when it's all scrunched up on this thread it loses something.

A bit lighter and I think it loses the mood of the shot a bit;

No1 is the one for me. Good work Tony!

The black and white tones are fine on my monitor, though I would lighten the rear half of the car a little. Could do with increasing the contrast of the concrete.

Number 1? I bloomin' knew people would do that hehe

I don't like it, but thought I'd put it up as I find everyone views things differntly. You've gone and proved it now, dammit hehe

I quite like number 1 too, very moody and menacing!

I now prefer my B&W in my second post. Arse, I'm so indecisive now over it hehe

JagdPanther; thanks! I certainly think you're right, it does need lightening a bit and looks all the better for it I think thumbup

Marc used to own an S2000 and still joins us for S2k meets. That was on our Arran Meet earlier this year biggrin

Assuming you bought it direct from him anyway biggrin

Canon 30D + 17-85mm IS4-5.6, the shot number 1 was taken with a tripod - f11, 1second ISO200 @ 33mm, shots 2-5 were f5.6 1/8second ISO200

Oh of course yeah; I bought it directly from Marc and saw the old S2000 "references" on his mantlepiece hehe

He had a private ad on here and I went all the way up to Leeds to get it. Small world indeed biggrin
