Have been trying to set the front camber and having a little problem.

I have the front of the car 13.5cm off the ground at the out rigger and 14.5cm at the rear both sides.

To set the camber I measured the height of the center of the hub from the ground removed the wheel and used wooden wedges until the hub was at the same height and not bearing on the jack, at this point with the camber gauge fixed to a wheel stud the max camber the gauge will go is about neg 1/4 deg.

I have new top wish bones and ball joints from TVR Car Parts the wish bones look the same and the ball joint are the correct one being the slimline ball type.

Could some one please tell me what I have done wrong or I can do to solve this problem.

Have you tried measuring the camber with the wheels on & on the ground (level). Double check all your new bits are seated properly, and nothing is fouling, I guess..

Someone once had problems cos they put the TRE's back upside down, unlikely but...

Don't be so 'holier than thou' - if you haven't made stupid mistakes you've done probably done FA! At least the guy rebuilt a lot of the stuff himself unlike plenty of the dreamers who just want to be able to tell their mechanics 'how to do it' mad

You lot! I think the guy is still on here, and may not be as thick skinned as me... The mistake was not quoted to take the piss, its likely if one person has done it - someone else will at some time wink

Dave
but then again it was on a Griff :-)
