I need to have a meeting in Oxford street later this week, I do not know London at all well so can anybody reccomend a suitable hotel ? I just need to be able to get Tea / Coffee for an informal chat in a lounge,

I assume Oxford street is on the conjestion zone so I guess I will park almost in london and get the tube in so it would be great if the hotel was right by a tube station.

It has to be Oxford Street? None of the other surrounding roads? When I think of Oxford street all I can think of is shops. I guess if you go a bit further up you could do it at the Selfridges hotel which is really close to bond street station. My knowledge of the inner parts of london isn't too great, but if it's informal - why not just go somewhere like Starbucks or some other coffee shop along those lines?

Actually it would not have to be Oxford street its just a locatiopn my man suggested, Im sure if its near then it will be fine, Although its informal I was hoping it would be a little more quiet than a Starbucks

There are quite a few suitable hotels around Portman Square which is just off Oxford Street and a short walk from Marble Arch tube. I've met people in (I think!) the Radison SAS there and it was fine.
