handbrake button

Hi all, Does anyone know if the button on the handbrake is removable and if so, how? I've got a 97 Chim and am fitting a leven ally handbrake.
Also, any suggestions on alloy wheel locknuts. ie, what ones are best for TVR.

The button just twists off. Twist & pull at the same time to encourage it.

The button unscrews, then the grip bit pulls off, but it will need a good twist and plenty of pulling before it comes off ... Leven replacement experience !!

The button on mine fired itself into the dashboard one day and shot about 5 little washers into the crack between dashtop and windscreen...

Yep it unscrews but is bloody hard, Try using surgical gloves or washing up gloves to get the grip, also as bad starting the new one.

The ones i have are MCguard ones which cost around £30 much better than the halford ones that become a nightmare as the keys break easily IMO and experience.
