Hi seasoned Grifters

The battery just died on my Griff 500 so I want to replace it with a quality sealed-for-life one. Can anyone tell me which decent manufacturers make one that will fit inside the battery box properly?

Thanks V8, will investigate.

I'm annoyed the battery has died – I've been doing 400-500 miles a month since buying the car in June so wasn't expecting this sort of thing. I thought all of the starting and charging problems reported with TVRs were caused by under-use. Guess I'll have to up my mileage some more, especially during the winter months. Wonder how it behaves in the snow?

I bought my battery off ebay last year and fitted an accumate at the same time, got that from TVRMonster.com well worth the investment IMHO

Been dreaming and browsing for years, only got the money together to make it real this year.

Suspect I'll be on here a bit more often now

How old is the battery that's failed? Most have a 2 or 3 year guarantee these days.

Don't know, but it's not a sealed-for-life unit so I want to replace it anyway – I don't like the thought of battery acid sloshing about if I manage to park it on its roof one day. Come to think of it, I don't particularly like the thought of parking the Griff on its roof either…
