Before I pick up my T350c on friday i was wondering what is the ICE like as standard in a T350?
What should i expect?
It can't be any worse than the mk1 Tuscan i've sold surely!!!
Generally is it worthwhile upgrading at some point?
But not until i've listened to the lovely sound of the sports exhaust drivingcloud9

Cheers,
Nev

you've already got a upgrade.
it's called a sports exhaust wink
you dont need a sound system upgrade if you listen to the pops and bangs on the overrun.

My Tamora's is pretty good. Alpine head unit and 4 speakers.

Might get around to a Carl Baker upgrade at some stage, but there always seem to be more important things to spend £600 on.

Like petrol, tyres and servicing..... rolleyes

I find mine to be ok i have the Factory speaker upgrade. i have recently added the pioneer Ipod connector which works really well and has improved the sound quality, quite happy with it, but to be honest i love listening to the engine more smile

Yes the standard audio in a tvr is very poor. T350s and Sags especially

Door speakers that play into your ankles, but better rear speakers would certainly help, however unless your prepared to build a separate enclosure your very much restricted a) by the room behind the speaker mounting before you hit the fibre glass and b) by the position of the boot solenoid mechanism a good pair of 6x9s would help but wont fit because of the solenoid impairing the passenger side speaker.
Obviously it can be done but its not an easy job to improve it substantially.
Definitely needs some crisper bass notes

Tamoras i would imagine are alot easier at the rear as youve got the whole bulk head to play with

My ('05) isn't the worst I've heard, though the Pioneer head unit clearly isn't as good as the Alpine that I had in the previous Chimaera. It is certainly bearable, though. There were a lot of changes under Smolenski, many for the better, so I suspect it'll depend on which equipment you got.

And don't believe the sports exhaust extremists; if you have 500 miles to go, a standard exhaust and a decent stereo makes the T350 a very pleasant GT.

"Speak to Carl", seems to be the advice here.

Have 6 x 9s in the rear of the Sag. Not sure if the same space is avilable in the T350 though. Take existing speakers out to check depths, although Sag varies greatly across back of car. Chose shallowest speakers I could find, 85mm I recall (rated at 300w peak each). Solenoid was relocated, as well as boot light. Sounds great with pioneer mosfet mp3 headmusic, loads of deep bass if you want it, without being overdriven or distorted like the o/e ones.
Work carried out by local 'main dealer', 2hrs labour yikes but this was the first time they had installed any, so perhaps they'd be quicker next time scratchchin
Only gripe was that they charged me the workshop rate even though they admitted the work was done at their body shop where the rates are less. Tried quizzing this argue but got a blank look in return
