new roofs

Hi all
managed to total my roof panel up at Bruntingthorpe a few weeks ago - anyone recommend a repair or replace merchant?
(I'd rather not pay £450 +++ for a TVR 'official' item).....

I don't think you are going to have much luck here. I enquired about this a few weeks ago and I came to the conclusion that it was going to be easier and cheaper to repair mine.

good luck ... aint seen replacements offered. If its gonna cost you that much, why not try and make one your self.

The chap i gave my old roof to is getting a grp centre section and grp rear section made up at my local grp place...

so there should be some available soon ( although grp chappy snowed under at the mo)

he was just going to get a 1 piece hard top made but had had so many people ask about centre sections he's gone two piece

I had Grahams old hard top to get a two part mould made for the centre section and also of the soft rear part. In theory parts can be made seperately from them though the plan is to make a complete hard top for my race car. The GRP chappy is very busy making parts for other mainstream jobs including Shelsey 2T kit cars and Tasmin race front ends so has taken > 3 months to do just the hard centre section!! So in theory I should be able to get you a hard top but it'll be a thin race type version needing some finishing and trimming. If interested giz an e mail!

looks like I need to find a friendly GRP expert.... but when the weathers like how it has been, weekends are not to be wasted on shopping....

p.s. where _were_ all the TVR's going to/from Goodwood - only saw 2 between Essex and the south....
