Recommend a Compact under £300?

I'm looking for a compact camera and was hoping to get some recommendations, I'm not a camera person at all I usually look at the results and buy based on that, atm I like what the Ricoh Caplia GX100 produces, but can my money go further?

Criteria;

- £300 max budget
- Small
- Durable, able to take a knock
- Easy to use, quick to switch on, snap and put away
- Good for outdoor shots, mostly involving sport (cars and mountain biking)
