Hiya Midlanders, this is a bit of a needy post but.....

I'm moving into my new house on Saturday - near Halesowen. Is there anything near to me, or meets I can come and join in on. It's so lonely being in a new place and knowing nobody at all. Work people aren't so friendly outside of work, and there is only so much tv I can watch in the evenings!! hehe

Hi Anna, our Midlands meets are more up in Derbyshire, so whilst not a million miles from Halesowen, they are a fair way out. There does appear to be a strong Warwickshire/West Midlands group though, see the sticky up top.

You have my sympathy having to live near Halesowen. Our main supplier is based there and the level of general intelligence demonstrated by them beggars belief.

Try not to get assimilated! wink

I'm sure we in the WM and Warwicks PH gang will extend a warm welcome to you; we meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in Berkswell, although venues change from time to time.

This might be a start!

Whatever you do avoid the Pubs on the stourbridge rd, one is known locally as the duelling banjos, your choice!

Probably Best heading for Clent/stourbridge/Hagley for pubs.

Some of us meet at the lyttleton at hagley from time to time - usually a tue/wed night - watch the tvr forum for details. Havnt met for a while but we have had a few decent runs out in the summer.

Welcome to the forum, your probably one of the closer pistonheads to me. As mentioned some of the meets are a fair distance away from our side of the midlands!

Thanks BG - will check out the sticky, dont really mind a bit of a drive, especially if it coincides with a trip back home!

minornut, who's your supplier?
im scared now, none of you are painting a nice picture of the place!! is it not like any place, you know with nice bits and bad bits?

Berkswell doesn't seem too far away though, so will keep an eye out for that one.

somouk - give me a shout if you hear of something i don't, didnt realise we lived in such an unpopular area hehe

Thanks Ali Kat, you're always welcome over redface)
