K series 1.6 oil pressure?

Hi - looking at a 98 roadsport A, the oil pressure according to the std caterham gauge was sitting at 2 at idle, then increasing to 3.5 ish / 4 under load.
Is this normal, as it seemed a bit low to me?

That's normal. Bear in mind that the oil pressure sender is notoriously unreliable.

Sounds fine. Point about the sender being notoriously unreliable is true plus the make and grade of the engine oil can also have a marked effect too. On the face of it though, I would say the readings are no problem.
