When i've been out driving for 20mins or so(enough for the disks to warm up lets say),i find i have no free role at the wheels i.e. its as if the the brakes at the back are stuck on slightly. If i'm on a slight slope the car does not move even if handbrake off and car in neutral.Dont get me wrong the car will still drive off as normal albeit the problem at the back must be having an effect on how far i have to push harder on the accellerator.

Any ideas on checks and possible causes??

Seized brake adjuster / cable tension probably. Cleaning the calipers and fully winding back the pistons, then setting the brake cable tension correctly should fix it. It is possible that the pads are too fat I suppose..

Are the brakes getting warm when you're cruising (careful you don't burn yourself finding out) and if so which one(s)?

This happened to me a year or two back. I found that the problem was at one wheel which you expect (front nearside) The brake was free as anything at the start of a journey and binding after about 20 minutes as you describe. It turned out to be a faulty flexible brake pipe to that wheel.

I had changed seals in the calliper and ensured that all moving parts were copper greased etc and it made no difference so the only thing left seemed to be the pipe. Apparently the rubber inner part of the pipe breaks down over time and starts to act like a non-return valve.

Exactly the same problem as the previous post - brake line broke down internally - changed to stainless - no problems since - easy job to do.
