Snooper have finally released their sat nav with TMC

https://www.snooperuk.com/products/snooper_s2000_s...

I am so tempted to get one but a bit concerned that it could be another Road Angel 9000.

Thoughts welcome?

There is no chance of that.....snooper just improve there units...ie 1st there was the syrius...then a improved version which is now the s600 and now the new S2000 is basically the s600 with TMC and a few other software extras...it's a very reliable and well made unit...if you need any more info send me a email.....also snooper use a Linux based system which is very robust and less likely to crash etc unlike the windows CE platform that a lot of units use like the road angels...

Do you know if the Snoopers give spoken directions as well as text based directions?

Thanks

Thanks for that.

So its either between the new Snooper or a Tom, Tom that would allow me to download the Talex database, as I currently have Talex camera detector and the database is perfect.

Any advice would be most appreciated?

Have the new Snoopers stopped telling you the correct speed limit when approaching a camera?

In the 'red' warning box where the camera image is on my Indago it displays the speed limit as well as camera type which is very useful

Is this not standard ?

My tom tom One regional does this

What would be good is a sat nav that can detect a radar gun,

Not just the fixed and known speed sites as the tom tom does.

Reply:

I can confirm that all Snooper Sat Nav systems that have Safety Camera Data downloaded show the speed limit at the camera location.

Hope this clears things up.

Thanks for that quick answer Philip,

I did think it was odd when I saw the screen shot not showing the speed limit as its one of the most usefull features!

Still loving my Indago after 2 years and when my girlfriend said she wanted a SatNav for christmas after looking at all the options I bought her an Indago as well!
