No harm in one of each! It'll twin nicely with our current old faithfull.

Soft tops are surprisingly good in our climate. My truck cab soft top is warmer than when I had a full station wagon. If they put the whats-it-called section behind the front seats it'll be the best of all worlds.

Whats it going to look like - anything like the US limited edition SV ? THAT was a nice Landie.

Are you talking about Landie soft tops specifically - ie you know them to be leaky, drafty or whatever? I ask since all the drop tops I've had - Porsche, BMW, Audi etc. have, if anything, been more snug in winter/bad weather than hard tops and of course, with the advantage of the chance to drop the top now and then. Personally I think the new Defender soft top will be cool - and great fun. Looking forward to it!smile

I'm going to guess it'll sound less like sitting in a flexible tin can at 'speed' on motorway too.
