I'd want some evidence of upgrades & a dyno plot to believe it

It's very possible it has 370 BHP, but like the previous poster I'd want to see 3rd party dyno plots.

At 370 bhp you're getting *very* close to the standard engine internals. It'll need an upgraded turbo to get to this power level and is starting to get close to needing an upgraded intercooler which it seems to have anyway.

I'd personally be worried about the engine internals at this stage of tuning. The gearbox and mechanicals should be fine to this level.

This is all IMHO and from personal research. See 22b.com or ther sites for more detail.

Cheers.

agree. i would want to see the list of parts fitted and actually see them on the car where possible. also i'd want to see the dyno printout. 370 is possible but apart from the stresses that will be on the standard engine internals i'd want far better brakes for a start along with a stronger gearbox and clutch!

it is completly possible though to get that power from a wrx.

I have heard though that the dyno's arn't always accurate,so therefore proves nothing. A guy wrote to me on another thread regards this car and said he took his Alfa in to be tested, the Dyno said it was pushing 270BHP,but he said he knew it was only around the 200BHP mark, so not sure what the point of the Dyno readouts are, if there's a chance they are incorrect. Just a thought smile

Dynos are not always to be believed - They can vary wildly.

If you're interested ask the owner to take you out in it. If it feels fast enough then it is fast enough. Surely that's the only thing that matters? ;nod:

Some of the pipework under the bonnet definitely isn't standard and the ad says the turbo has been upgraded. Find out what it's been upgraded to and then do a forum search on www.22b.com to find out more details (most turbos have been tried there and mentioned in various ways). coffee
