Picked up my new company smoke yesterday, a 118d ES in white, my first BMW after driving Golfs my whole life.

It drives great and looks cool but that's nothing to do with my question, I want to take advantage of the 'Aux In' to listen to my ipod but is there anything I need to beware of?

Two people I know who have them say they can't make the volume loud enough, are they doing something wrong? Is there a particular type/brand/supplier of connection lead I should buy.

Any help would be most welcome.

Hi Max. I've been using the aux in on my 130 for the last 18 months with no problem at all. Fairly standard cable as far as I can recall. If you've got the sound up to max on the iPod you'll be fine - only other thing that can effect it is not pushing the jack in all the way wink
(BTW - I have been using the MP3 CD quite successfully. You can easily get 100+ tracks on a CD and there's no issues with sound quality and iPOD battery life etc and you can scroll through the track names in the same way so it's quite cool and in some respects superior to using the iPOD.)
