Broke down today anybody got any thoughts on this! I hit a pot hole in road big bang comes from nearside rear i immediatly pull over and my rear is on its arse dont want to risk driving so i got recovered home. At home the nearside is so low its inside the arch the offside looks low as well could this be diff bushs? or complete suspension failure? not had chance to look yet its dark now
any ideas or recomends?? Thanks in anticipation

It may be the shock mount that's gone.

It went on a Chimera with us on a run we were on recently.

Exact same symptoms as yours.

Shocks may have snapped. Mine did this a few years ago.

Full marks to kojak just had a peer through the alloys with a torch and can see the shock absorber has snapped at the top a bit surprised at this as they are only 18 months old wont post the brand of shock until i investigate further

You should make a claim against the local council. If that pot hole had been previously reported they have 48 hours to fix it. After that they are liable for any damages caused to vehicles.

Good idea to try the claim, may be worth taking photos too, in case it gets filled in?
