Help needed oh wise ones !!!
Discussion
Hi guys,
Well RAFBOY's Griff is back on the road after replacing a knackered fuse box ( which has probably been the cause of most of my troubles over the past 2 years !!) Anyway she is being a bit flat or hesitant at 3400 rpm ( sorry dont know the proper term ) its there at this rpm in 1st, 2nd, 3rd if your driving normally and being light on the throttle, you dont notice it if youre being spirited...
Have taken her to Neil Garner and he was great, he checked the ECU by putting another on and it's still there, he then tried re-routing some wiring away from the ignition coil and this has definitely calmed it down but it's still there, any thoughts oh wise ones ?????
On a lighter note - went to Swindon last week to do a bit of Xmas shopping and parked up in the multi story, walking away from the car and heard "Oi !" turned around to be confronted by a longhaired chap in what could only of been a jumper made of hemp.. I replied " Excuse me ? "
"Do you know the size of your carbon footprint driving that ?" chap said pointing at the Griff.
I casually glanced down to my feet and then back to chap
"Yes" I said " Size 14 " and calmly walked away !!!!

Oiii watch it! There tyres chopped up are great between the chassis & trolley jack
It's simply that big pipe that goes from the plenum to the wing near the brake fluid reservoir
either block it at the plenum or clamp the pipe together. Probably not that but its easy to rule out. Generally if the purge/cannister is disconnected the petrol smell is pretty noticeable
Dave
Thanks Dave, will take a look sometime this week !!!
I bet Swampy's 2CV is a green and white Dolly, with CND, Greenpeace stickers etc all over the rear window !!!!
I rear ended one once when I had a Alfa 33, seriously banged up my front end , not a bl~@dy scratch on the 2CV !!!! Hated them ever since !!!!

If the eco-warrior does drive a 2CV tell him this fact;
The reason Citroen ceased production of deux chevous was because its engine emmissions could not get below the maximum CO output requirements at the time, so they have a HUGE carbon footprint!
Ironic as the 2CV was always seen as being the `green` car to have.
As Jasper Carott...oh dear showing my age....described it as an upturned pram

Do you know why Pasco is so rude about Greenpeace?
Before he dug up the swimming pool to build the new pantry, he was continually getting visits from Greenpeace over reports of a beached whale
Dave
Funny you should mention Pools just getting quotes for that Do you know why Pasco is so rude about Greenpeace?
