Cheapest?
Surely you mean best?
Menzerna Intensive Polish and Final Finish are ones that seems to be put up there as top dog, but many use and like what Meguiar's #80 and #83 do, and others 3M's FinesseIt or Ultrafina.
What type of marks are you looking to get rid of?
What is the paint type you're working on - 2K clearcoat or older single stage paint?
What machine are you planning on using?

Poor chap asks one simple question and gets five thrown back at him. I'd go for the 3M products - good value and effective.

Autoglym Super Resin Polish. It will fill in the swirl marks as well as help restore your paint. Menzerna polishes are great but need a machine to really break them down and get the full benefit. 3M is not bad but harder to buy.

But it's marks removed he's after, using a machine, rather than masking by hand, so why suggest AG SRP?
Autoglym really are pretty crap products - especially the consumer ones off the shelf. It's only when you get the trade/pro stuff, you appreciate that and even then, they're not fantastic.
Same for Meguiar's too - consumer, very average; pro, much better.
Zymöl HD Cleanse and Dodo Lime Prime, are slightly abrasive (the former with more filler than the latter) and may shift the swirls, if they're light enough.
Equally Clearkote Vanilla Moose Glaze may do too - but at least with the Menz/3M/Meguiar's polishes, the swirls will be gone as opposed to hidden.

SRP using a polisher is still my choice. Menzerna polished are very temperature phobic and struggle in certain conditions, ie NOW. Dodo Juice polishes / waxes are good but expensive and ClearKote is not bead either....i have a number of their products in my armoury.

Prima Swirl Medium Cut Polish at around £10 is well worth a shot too, but SRP is the cheapest and with a machine does a top job.

Machne I'm usin is just a typical 8speed polisher, no big branded name, but it's great for £50

And the marks aren't exactly swirls they're more of a straight fine scratch, can't be seen unless under extremely high light, but i'm pretty anal about looking after the car.

As for the Paint, no idea, it's on a TVR and it's kind of a flip colour, so not really shite.

Cheers for the help everyone. Any linksto these products (preferably on ebay?)

Thanks,
Dan

PJ S advice above is good. I'd second it.

Don't try to use Autoglym SRP with a machine, it has no lubricants in, so will become very dry and dusty andclogthe pad. It has no swirl removing capabilities so machine use isn't relevant, as there is no abrasives to break down.

On TVR paint, the Menzerna final finish is very good. -

Thanks Tony.
Nice work on the Saab convertible - came up a treat, as did the Merc.
