Off to get some fuel, change gear, pop, smoke screen for under bonnet. The clutch pedal is now flat on the floor. Im guessing the bleed hose has burst and dumped the oil on the manifold because when I bought the car I noticed the hose had touched the exhaust and scortched it. Serves me right for not replacing it at the time.

Provided it is the hose does it unbolt from the outside of the clutch housing or will I need to take the houseing off?

Turns out the hydraulic pipe between the clutch master and slave cylinders had also been rubbing against the exhaust manifold and burst. Worth taking a look at because the clearance is almost non existent.
