My car was built mid 1993, and has exhaust cats. Its a small production run car (Ginetta G33, of which 100 were built).

Can I get away with removiong the cats, and still get the car through its MOT. I think the year of make makes it borderline, but most G33's are a year earlier and have no exhaust cats. Irecokon emoving the cats will give me about 5-10 bhp and a better noise. I will keep the lambdas.

thanks for your advice in adavance

Try it and see smile Depends on cam overlap, timing, combustion efficiency, engine temperature, etc, etc
Not really anything that someone can make a clear statement on.
Whats the MOT reg say? Lambda is only one of the checks, they also check HC and CO emissions. Im not sure what tests 1993 vehicles fall into.
Pity they check Lambda else you could just lean things right up to pass.
