Hello,

I've been searching various forums but have been so far unable to
find any solid info about converting a RHD Caterham to LHD. I'm looking
at early/mid 1990s cars and, as I live in Switzerland, the conversion
would be pretty handy to say the least.
any info much appreciated,

Tom

In the world of sevens, anything is possible, the only limiter is your wallet depth. And I think this will be expensive. In fact so expensive it might just be worth looking at a new LHD car instead ?

Bruce at Arch would tell you about the chassis mods.

Its going to be pricey as you need lots of chassis work as the lhd drive and rhd cars have different chassis due to the way that pedals and steering column are mounted.

Throw in arseing about with the wiring loom and the effect on the chassis set up due to a big weight moving across the car it going to be not worth your while.

It would probably be cheaper to buy a new LHD chassis and move the bits across from a RHD car if you are determined to convert one.

But the cars are so narrow the difference between RHD and LHD in an overtakng situation ain't going to be that much
