I know it's been asked for before, but is there any consistent way of getting links to wrap so we don't get pages like this:

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/xforums/topic.asp?h=0...

That I can't be arse to read with all the scrolling!?

No but it's a pain in the arse reading it on a laptop or mobile device!

Sometimes PH truncates the long links, sometimes it doesn't.

There are two options for posting links on Pistonheads

1. url e.g. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=469674

2. text|url e.g. Linky|http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=469674

The first option displays the whole web address at the link, like this -- http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=469674

The second option allows users to replace the web address with a different phrase, like this -- Linky

This is a very handy option for posting long web addresses but unfortunately does not solve the problem unless people use it.

I have added the long web address problem to the to do list, so hopefully we should have a better solution soon.

ETA: and yes, i am aware that i have just posted that next to an advert and caused the exact problem we were talking about! banghead

This is a nice feature as well.

Any other colours?

Red by any chance, with yellow letters . . .

The Triple Brackets thing is designed for posting code without the website re-formatting it, it is still having its bugs worked out at the moment though and it does some very strange things at the moment, so use with caution!
