Does anyone know of a track around the Hertfordshire area where I can get some time in with an instructor?

The best place would be Bedford Autodrome - one of Jonathan Palmer's places - probably about an hour from St. Albans.

Very wide track with lots of run-off for when you overcook it, albeit a bit featureless.

I'm from Hertford and done my 1st trackday at Brands Hatch a couple of years ago. Brands and Bedford are about equidistant for you but Bedford is alot safer if you stray off the black stuff.

I'll be at Bedford Jan 26th with Hondas On Track.

I had a day with Sean Edwards instructing me and he was really good! I took my own car, but you can hire a car as well I think. Here is his PH topic http://pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t... or his website is www.seanedwards.eu.

If I remember correct, he lives down your way too.
