My central locking will unlock the car but won't lock it. Vag-Com finds one fault, Central Locking Thermal Protection, I think the code is 01038. It won't operate from the key, or remote, or the switch inside. I know that if someone plays around with the locking, ie locks then unlocks it many times then this may cause the thermal protection to activate, but no-one other that myself has been near the car, and it just stopped working. Any ideas??

After checking the fault codes that's what I tried, didn't make any difference. I've no idea what has caused this...

It did come back on once after about a week, then after operating it a couple of times it packed in again.
