I have to go to Paris at the end of the week and will be using the new 'Ebbsfleet' terminal at Junction 2 on the M25.

I'll be driving anticlockwise from Junction 10 at a very early hour but, as I don't know this end of the M25, I was wondering if it's close enough to the Dartford Tunnel to need to leave extra time for queuing traffic time?

Junction 2 looks to be about a mile and a half south of the tunnel....

Thanks

I guess it all depends on the time of day you are going round there you say a very early hour but how early is that. At the moment there are roadwork’s on that part of the M25 (starting at J3 I think) but unless its rush hour they should no cause to much of a delay. With regard to your question about queuing for the tolls for the tunnel this is only ever a problem in rush hour or if one of the tunnels has been closed like they always use to on Sunday nights but it has been a few years since I have been on that part of the M25 at that time of day.

How early is very early? You should have no problems if you are getting to Ebbsfleet before 6 to 6.30.
Certainly the A2 in that direction is clear and the tunnel should be ok as well, depending on the vagaries of the M25 and tunnel.

For the benefit of other people, park free at Bluewater and get a cab or bus to Ebbsfleet, about 6 minutes away ...

The journey there was a disaster - no signs to Ebbsfleet and it doesn't exist on the sat nav.

I caught my train with seconds to spare. Not impressed!
