My A6 has thrown the following codes 17545 & 17547 (P1137&P1139)
Long term Fuel trim, system too rich both sides.

Its a 2001 4.2V8 A6

Has anyone any advice on a fix without going to a main dealer?

All help greatfully recieved.

Are you having any problems, or did you just scan out of interest?
If you just wanted to do a scan then i'd suggest clearing the faults, and see if they re-appear.

Bump,

I need some more help please.

I have just had the Audi on a computer and need more info if its out there?
The Bank O2 sensors (four of them) numbers one and two are active numbers three and four are both dormant.
Is this correct?

Is the EVAP the same thing as an EGR?

Any help really appriciated,
Tahnks

If you are looking to stay away from the Dealers may I suggest you contact www.autops.co.uk (I note you are located in Northants) they have been very helpful and very reasonably priced. They have all the latest diagnostics kit for VAG cars. As they are on my doorstep I use them all the time be it for work on the car or parts as I prefer to give my business to a reputable independent business than the stealers. I only use the stealers for warranty work (often after ratification by aps)

Thank you all help most gratefully recieved.
I have had a really nice guy who remaps VAG cars who is helping get to the bottom of these fault codes before performing trickery to make 300bhp more.
I will get the car booked in to those guys,
