Tenby car ban - £60 fine and 3 points
Discussion

Basically if you take your car within the central area of Tenby (popluar West Wales tourist area) within certain dates then you will receive a fine, similar situation to a parking ticket
However, they are now planning to introduce endorsements as well, so take a wrong turn and it could cost you £60 and a nice fat 3 points
How can they do this, surely points is a bit excessive? If you got 3 points every time you went through an 'access only' street, which this basically is, then the majority of drivers I know would be banned 10 times over
Seems like things are going a bit too silly once again

Rip us off for a few quid on a kiss-me-quick hat = ok (if daft) Criminalise us with points and goodnight tourism so where's your economy?
Anyway, roads in North Wales are shite anyway (honourable mention for Betws-y-Coed where I put myself and girlfriend thru front screen in 1990 trying to catch a ferry to Dublin (is ok, the plastic surgery improved her boobs

That's the danger when people are canvassed and say "something" must be done about the traffic situation. Thus leaving it up to the council to do "something". Invariably of course, with the sort of people we have in those positions of power, the action they take is pathetic, heavy-handed and p1sses of most people.

Only just had time to read the article. Where does it mention points?
I couldn't see it either but knowing those
it would probably happen very soon. New slogan for wales councils and police should be - "WALES - We will do anything for 3 points and 60 quid"

Offences become endorsable if there is an element of danger/injury to drivers and others because of them.
If driving into Tenby is likely to be dangerous, then a sign will be erected which will allow Police to issue endorsable FPT's.
I think that will be unlikely
How dangerous is Tenby other than it is in the hands of the Welsh?
