Sorry for the slightly misleading title, but this is a Photoshop of a potential new Chevrolet Chevelle. Now, I can't see there being room for this and the Camaro.....BUT, I reckon this would make a corkin' Monaro replacement (whether that be a Holden or a Vauxhall).

Looks a corker and personally the Chevrolet tag sounds good to me. Nothing wrong with a monaro but the Chevy badge is incredibly well known. Pity they're making crappy little runarounds now. The pontiac/monaro wasn't popular in the US so I wonder if pontiac had an image or marketing problem.

I agree that having a chevell competing with a camaro could be a problem so it probably won't happen and as said, it's a photoshop.

I think the GTO was successful in the US. It was never meant to be a huge seller but I think many where hoping for a successor to the GTO of the 60's in terms of looks.

Still, it'd be a shame to waste such a good looking design as the one above, hence the thought of Holden adopting it. smile

Hell thats one great looking car rear drive big V8, but as ever it will be to expensive in the UK.
Correct me if i'm wrong but how can GM plan futuer V8 powered cars when it's only the minority that actually understand what they are all about? not to mention the con of global warming. I Can't see a big enough market for a Camero and a Chevell. I'ts not 1968 anymore. Shame. Muscle cars are almost a myth these day's. Still we can dream...and dreams are tax free.. at the moment...

This is merely a Photoshop, although the Chevelle nameplate is renowned in the US so I would rule out a comeback, along with a 4 door Impala.

You're right, this isn't the late 60's but I'm revelling in the current muscle car rebirth, whether that be Monaro/GTO, Mustang, Camaro, Challenger or any other muscle machine that maybe in the pipeline. You can keep your highly strung exotica, give me a blue collar supercar anyday!

In the UK, the market is much smaller, but I welcome a wider choice.

Lets enjoy it while we can smile
