Gents, not sure if i got a 'special' price as i was the first TVR, and the first space frame chassis they had done, but for reference, mine was £250 all in, and they needed the car for 3 days, but i left it with them for 5 days.

Hope that helps

Thanks

Matt

Mine's there now based on Matts feedback. Get it back Saturday and yes the £250 is what I was quoted. Will post info next week and pics if I can figure that out. Left them a camera and the promised some before n after shots

Just got my car back from Richard and am pleased with the job. Had the car for 3 months so wanted to get the underneath sealed for peace of mind.

Its a 2000 V 4.0 Chimaera in Cooper Green with 47k & flakey Powdercoat.

Richard tells me that it's solid underneath with just some surface rust where the powdercoat was loose.

The pressure jetting removed the loose stuff, photos 1-3.

Then comes the car drying to prepare for the first layer wax photos 4-5

Final coat of black wax seal photos 6-10.

I would definitely recomend this service.

Then the topside

PS What about the rusty topside of the chassis - is it a case of 'See No Evil. --'.

I have booked mine in for Jan after its had its 12k service at Torque RVT.

Really looking forward to having a "sorted" car which will easily survive the rest of winter.

They jet and spray the top of the chassis, I had a good look and poke around when I picked it up.
Richard took me down in the pit to check it out.
Some bits removed to gain access and some sections sprayed on the inside with wax

Pleased my chassis was in good nick, slightly better than Matts

Not one to question what you,ve had done.......but your top chassis tubes are rusted(ones under the ex manifolds)any Waxoyl, underseal, wax based material wont stay on those for long it will just burn off leaving the metal exposed, you really need to get paint on those(maybe a job for you,if you de/precats or change ex gaskets at some point)just a small point,is that a lock wired sump plug i see?nice touchwinkand piece of mind.

Thanks will keep an eye on that. Being a novice would've thought the hot bits would stay dry though and be less prone to aggressive corrosion assuming I keep salt off them...but I'm a novice and also a dry/good weather owner with a garaged Beast (at the moment!!!! angel).

No idea on the sump plug thing, will take a look.

Appreciate your advice though Simon
