Gallardo diff noise

my gallardo is making a nocking noise from the rear on cornering sounds like the diff ,as anyone had diff probs ???? also it has only cover 6k but out of warranty what are lambo like with that sort of thing would they be interested

Are you doing lots of short journeys? Had the same with mine, but took it out for a couple of hours and its been fine since. They all make some noise, so Lambo will most likely tell you its normal. You can also get an additive put in the diff oil which helps quiten things down a bit.

I know NEO had a similar noise a while back. Lambo dealer put an additive in the diff oil, I believe.

yep if it is the diff then an additive in the oil will fix that you said it was from the rear, it could be your anit roll bar bushes, not a big job, take it to a lambo garage and ask them to check will take 10 mins top

it is just a different oil that is put in the diff, it is thicker

If you dont mind me bumping, and requesting a technical explanation - Im just curious, keen to learn as Ive seen this mentioned several times here... how exactly does this work, what makes it work?

You need to get hold of Jaguar gear box additive (not all dealers stock it)it comes in a 100ml bottle you then add it too your gearbox oil,at first you will hear no change as it takes around 100 miles for the additive to work after which the noise will be gone.I am telling you this from experience and it works 100% if you are finding it hard to find additive i will be happy to get it for you,it only costs about £20 you may even find that your local Lambo dealer stocks it as they use it all the time for the same reason.Good luck Darren
