Guys,

Any advice on how to remove an uncountable number of squished bugs from the Lambo without causing undue distress to the paintwork?

So far I've only tried warm soapy water with sep rinse bucket, about 10 times to no avail. I can only assume Bugs in Bedfordshire are the hard B***ard variety.

Thanks
Andy

Try baby wipes! Strange but does work better than any halfords type products.

or, large amounts of soggy paper towels over the area and leave for about 20 mins, then try washing off. If not, Autoglym does a tar and bug remover spray which works pretty well.

Baby wipes.

Spread them on the affected area, pat down and leave them for 20 minutes then they should just wipe straight off.

Keeping the car well waxed will also help.

BMW do an own brand insect remover spray for around £6 a bottle which is very effective and better than the Autoglym stuff I've found. If you put a decent coat of wax like P21S or Zymol etc on the front of your car you'll find that bugs don't stick to it and are easy to wash off.

Another vote for them here. On last years Furball the cars were covered in them and well and truly baked on in the 40 deg sun. Baby wipes took them all off with virtually no effort.

Alternatively glue a large lizzard to the front bumper

Thanks all for the great tips. I'll try the baby wipes first then get myself a lizard, ready for next year. wink
