John Eales or Triggerwheels.com? Discuss

Anyone made the TW wheel work with a JE sensor and bracket (seems the 'best' combo) assuming the bracket is available separately (TW don't do bracket for the Serp cover)

I went for the je trigger, wheel and sensor/sensor mount, on the basis It was solidly built so no vibration problems and I couldnt be arsed to make any thing. No probs with it an mines mounted in a different position to clear the dry sump pump

JE's for me, undoubtedly the best made solution I have seen.

Yes you can make it out of a piece of old washing machine and some bis off an old Vauxhallor Ford, but for all the buggering about, I paid the extra to have it all sorted for me.

I also didn't like the Triggerwheels spacer plates etc, as the less bits down there the better. I've had a crank pulley bolt shear, and it slammed into the oil filter whilst we were doing 115mph and ripped a 2inch hole in it, therefore the idea have anything that isn't absolutely bolted together properly on that part of the engine is unpopular with me.

hi just my 2p's worth i brought a tw from tw.com and then brought a mount from john eales as his are the best(most rigid )i have seen. problem i found (mine being a preserp) was the pulley used on my tvr was different to the one on sd1's which john used to make the bracket resulting in my bracket needing to be spaced out a further 35mm. also the tw was much larger than the john eales one so i had to have some alloy machined away. in short in my opinion i would of just got john to supply the full kit ready to bolt on then i would of saved a lot of time and it wouldnt of been anymore expensive.
as i say just my opinion for wot its worth
cheers

Only because of time, and through wanting a robust and trouble free install. Not averse to a bit of fabrication if needs be smile
