Downloadable films will be availble from Tuesday 11th Dec in the UK. HD content too, finally I can unleash the new TV!

It expires, you have either a week or three days to watch it once you've downloaded it and once you've watched it once it deletes itself from your hard drive after 24 hours.

I didn't know that it deletes itself after you've watched it once. That seems like a pretty crap feature.

Will it delete it if I have to stop watching part way through and don't start again for 24 hours? I might also see something I like, download it and then not get around to watching it.

I'll have to have a think about that, plus if it's full HD then it might take a while to download anyway, assuming I've got the space on my HD.

I'll be downloading Training Day. Haven't seen it for a while.

Had a look at this in the early hours of this morning and there are currently 24 films available for rental.

Didn't get a look at prices as it took forever to load up so I assume they were still messing with it. Should be good though. I will be extremely pissed off if they have put the prices up compared to the Yanks rentals though, seeing as they get 14 days and everything.

I think yanks was 320 GP for SD and 480 for HD

Hmm i'm not overly convinced! I'll check it out this evening, and if it's working i'll probably d/load Training Day in HD. Got to be worth a go at least once.

I just tried to download Training Day in HD. They took my microsoft points but it wouldn't download, said media usage rights could not be downloaded. Don't know what to do.

Thats out of order, you've paid for something that they have failed to deliver

Well that's plainly wrong, it goes against all the reports in the media and even Microsoft's own site. Milk it for all it's worth.

Just phoned them back and another quite timid sounding woman said that they are experiencing some difficulties with video marketplace.


I hope it isn't just me that is having these problems.
