There is currently another PH thread running that suggests that all TVR's (including the very late cars) do not have their RFL charged according to the emmissions bandings and thus qualify for the cheaper cc based charges. Are any of you able to advise further?
Thanks in advance...

The other thread is correct.

Check any car here: http://www.vehiclelicence.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/

You need the reg and model.

Because TVR was a low volume manufacturer it did not have to undergo the same SVA / type aproval as a main stream car, Vauxhall/ford/peugeot etc.

Therefore it was given a rating of over 1549cc biggrin

I had the problem that my 2006 Tuscan Vert was not classified as PLG but had an emmisions rating (class ed as Petrol Car) on the V5C (Log book replacement form) from when it was registered, has it got transfered to the Car Tax and my disc showed PC rather than PLG (Private Light Goods)...After 3 months of phone calls and letters the DVLA finally agreed refunded £30 and changed it to PLG... The DLVA put the problem down to the local Tax Office in Preston when the car was first registered by the main TVR Dealer at the time (They are no longer TVR Dealers).
