What are the chances of getting Space Grey with Gloss Black Trim on an M-Sport model? Is there any room for BMW being helpful or not?

What else needs adding to the spec if anything?

I had a E90 330d and the Electric Sunblind although originally bought because I thought it was pointless and amusing turned out to be a nice feature and something I would order again.

If you get any joy with getting Space Grey on an M Sport can you let me know. I have a Space Grey SE at the moment and love the colour, why oh why do they offer so few colours on the M Sport? They are so limited I will almost definately end up getting another SE when I really want an M Sport because I dont like any of the colours...

DAB and xenons are missing. Are things like electric memory seats and self-dimming mirrors standard?

Xenons are standard, as are electric memory seats. There is an option for exterior dimming mirrors but not for internal so it looks like the internal one is dimming as standard which is a shame as I hate them (both current cars have bluetak over the sensor to stop them dimming as you can't see if it is a police car behind with it enabled).

DAB is on the maybe list, when does analogue radio switch off?

Ride quality is better on 18th, but marginal, looks make up for that - at least for me. I'd definately also go for the cornering lights and the active steering. You could also think about the "lights package" (or whatever it is called). Other than that I'd say it's a good spec. I assume the M-sport package in the UK also has the grey tinted stripe across the windscreen and the black interior ceiling!?

Active steering seems to get rubbish reviews and is about a grand I think, Evo always seem to think you shouldn't spec it?

Grey strip isn't on option list so assume it is standard (is on option list for saloon though), grey headlining is standard on all M-Sport models.

Moving lights - only up to 25mph which kind of makes them a bit pointless as the only time it'd be useful is when pressing on at night? and even then full beam should be enough? or is that not the case?

Jon - already been told by Sam that if I remap or LSD her car she will stick the LSD up my arse so don't think that is a goer it is a proper old fashioned auto with paddles mate (though a good one), if she wants to drive properly hard she can always take the CSL. Manual ruled out as she hates be stuck in traffic when driving for work.

She prefers the 18" wheel design anyway, the 19s are a £900 odd option IIRC - they might make it easier to sell in 4 years, but would it be worth £900 more? I'd guess not?

Any more thoughts on DAB?

Can anyone confirm what the buttons by the gear lever are for (she has a thing against the blanked out spaces). So far worked out heated seats, rear blind, front pdc - what are the others?

Do you mean Logic 7? HK isn't available on the e92 but was on the e46 I think?

My lights move all the time regardless of speed, on the X3 the foggies stop lighting up when cornering at higher speeds - low beam doesn't. I found it always a worthwhile extra.
As for the active steering, If the car is used on public roads I never found anything against it tbh, even when pushing hard. Some people find it hard to adapt to it, I assume it is down to personal preference. I'd give it a try if you can before you decide against it.
As for the DAB, I have it, but in Germany I only get 20 odd channels, so I didn't think it was money well spent. The usb socket on the other hand is pretty good value. Hardly ever use the ipod, just have a selection of 2 gig usb sticks with my music on.

Cheers - just checked the brochure again and it is the integrated cornering lights that don't work after 25mph unless the indictor is on.
