I saw a Ferrari last night on the M1, and the front of it looked like an F1 car - does anyone know what it is?

It looked awesome and had some presence on the road as it strolled by, I was in so much awe I forgot to get the plate.

Probably an Enzo I'd have thought.

Ahhh! That would explain why I saw two F40's, a Mondial and a 308 on the M6 last night! Thought there was a sale on or something

I'm kicking myself for missing this event. There's a good excuse but not one anyone would be interested in. Also saw the trail of cars on the M1 including several 308s and 348s, a testarossa (which in white did look a bit odd I have to say) as well as sevral 456s and a 550.

I got to get my buying skates on for my 308

Yeah, I went, along with a mate in a 328. Good event, nice old country house, though it was a bit of a pain to get to on account of the village it's next to being shut for some fete or other. About the same number of people as last year (though down on 2 years ago). Weather stayed good, quite a lot of cloud but the sun poked out from time to time and it was quite warm. The numbers of cars entered into the concours seems down too.

All in all, a good day out. No coppers on the roads either, which made for a nice change.

Also managed to look at lots of 308's with 16" wheels. I need new tyres soon, and my decision is either

a) stick with original 14" wheels, get them reconditioned, and original XWX tyres. Cost £1200. Adv : originality, ride quality, 70's "in keeping" looks.

or

b) get some 16" orginal style but reproduction alloys from superformance and fit newer rubber. Cost £1200. Adv : more modern looks, better handling (but slightly worse ride quality), cheaper tyres in future.

Still undecided ....

Go the 16's Nev, every time.

Ride is still v nice. BF Goodridge are my preferred choice for all round ride, grip, durability, price.

Looks great too, esp if you lower it a little.
