Sat Nav DVD

Does anyone know which BMW sat nav DVDs can search by postcodes?

I find it very frustrating that i can only search by address.

I've got the 2007-1 and that has partial post code search. The Firmware is the latest if that makes a difference.

I understand there is a Disc available that allows you to do full post code search via the POI menu. Have a look at the link below for details. I haven't got this Disc yet but it certainly seems to be well thought of.

I have the latest and it works well, for the 5 digit search you will need to ensure you have the correct firmware

How do I find out what firmware the car has?

There is a Service menu that you can access which will give the Firmware version in the top right hand corner of your screen. I can't remember the exact sequence but if you go back to the BMW site and do a search for Service or Secret menu you will find instructions. Your other alternative is the X5 site which has all you will need on SatNav.

You will see something like 28/1 which is the nomenclature for the Firmware.
